#Knots_from_the_book_on_the_roof. From sketch to implementation
This section presents some of the components described in the literature from the "Double-lock standing seam technology" series and implemented by metal roofers.
Node name:
"Unrolled Four"
So I called the working version of the article for the new book "Pipes and penetrations" (second edition). This version of the junction node is included in the "line" of other, similar nodes, the design of which provides for the formation of transitions from three-, four- and pentagonal bases to a circle along the top of the junction. Of course, all these nodes are included in a new chapter for this book, "Adjacent to a round pipe."
The development of knots in my books takes place both at the stage of their description by myself, and in collaboration with roofing masters. In this case, this is a new node and I was interested in making it myself. To be honest, I wanted to make both “triples” and “fives” (as I called them by the number of corners at the base) and so on from this series of knots, but so far there is only enough time for this knot. I will make others later. They, all together, will be included in my new seminars. I made all the patterns for all the nodes of this kind.
Detailed description of the node:
In Book 1 "Double-lock standing seam technology. Pipes and penetrations" (second edition)
The node presented in the photo implemented:
